104.7 sounding more like 107.9

I still liked it better when Boozer was on the morning show and it was EZ-104.7...BIGAPE!

Is 107.9 now trying to top 104.7? Now 107.9 The Link is playing "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO. Not heavily, but they're playing it. That's kinda crossed over from CHR to Hot AC - for them to be ignoring some other Hot AC tracks, why on earth would they add that? I'm getting a little confused about their format. They still report as AC, right? ::)

I'd love to see them go back to Hot AC at 107.9.

Wasn't K 104.7 on top of Lite 102.9 for a good while? I know the last two Lite is on top of K.

So when did this big change in music on K happen? As this makes Lite 102.9 LITE which someone also said in this topic.
No, it doesn't.

Look who they have as the PD. Come on now, this goof with his male chauvinistic, self-centered ego couldn't program a tv remote let alone a radio station.

So much for that. K-104.7 has re-added 70s music (as well as sleepy 80s) and is sounding more like Lite once again and less like 107.9. Tracks such as "Dreams", "Grease", "Don't Go Breaking My Heart", "September", etc. are once again gracing the playlist, alongside some songs such as Rihanna's "Only Girl" and Nickelback's "How You Remind Me." Seems a bit messy.

The other day I heard Bon Jovi - Living On a Prayer followed by Nat King Cole - The Christmas Song...man now that's a smooth mix, baby.

Why am I not surprised?

104.7 essentially sounds like 102.9 again, but actually more 70s music (and even "Brown Eyed Girl"). What's with the recent identity crisis, as far as the music goes?

Now I'm confused. :-\ What was the plan for 104.7? Is it cause older people in their 40s ,like me, shut them off which made them lose ratings? Wonder if these big corp. companies really even care?

Seriously.. Why not switch to an oldies format like W-CBS FM in New York???

Wow. I finally turned the dial to listen to them after avoiding them for several weeks. Sounds like they restored from archive the same tiny selection of 70s and 80s songs that they overplayed before going rhythmic/Hot AC.

Why can't this station become unique and stop sounding like other local stations?

The ratings book 6+ was essentially flat for them last month, but they were well behind Lite and below The Link. I don't get why they changed the music back. The station has no stability - musical changes, constant airstaff changes, nothing distinct - there's just nothing that sets them apart from Lite or The Link. Lite has stability and a strong AC playlist. The Link is a little lost musically (IMO) but their talent is somewhat popular and stable. K gets good people in but they don't last.

I just think classic hits would be a big winner for them. It beats the heck outta trying to compete with 2 other stations.

K 104.7 should have never tweaked to begin with. As for a while they were above 102.9 Lite FM in the ratings. Hopefully K 104.7 beats 102.9 Lite FM by going Christmas first.

I don't understand the tweak either, and the change back. Lite's improved quite a bit lately - although I don't believe they have a truly "bright new sound", the music and presentation has improved. I guess their tweak towards fresh AC was an attempt to sound "brighter" than Lite and more music-intensive than The Link, but it must have not worked. Like I said, K has had some great people on-air, and still probably does, but the inability to keep them is crazy. Lite just seems to have their act together more
