I don't know what metrics you are using. Please don't tell me you guys are looking at 6+ or Persons? In the only demo Sports radio pays attention to(M25-54) this is how ESPN/Fan breaks out over the last 4 books. Full week (M-Su 6a-Mid)

KESN-3.6, 4.4, 3.8, 2.9
Fan- 3.0, 3.0, 3.1, 2.9

I believe Barry Horn in the Morning News runs those numbers every month and if that is where they are coming from -- then he is only copying public information (printed in the DMM)

well..while were all being honest here..dont tell me you think they look at 6am-midnight all week either...

there is a lot that goes into breaking down whats good and whats not. they break down the ratings for every show..every hour..the truth is that espn and the fan are neck and neck during the radio hours of 6am-7pm m-f. well..espn is behind in the mornings. where they catch up is with ben and skin going against whatever crap the fan puts on after the morning show. and then theyre pretty close in the evenings.

in the end...does it really matter? neither station is going anywhere. cbs wants a sports stick in every major market and the other is espn...
