105.7 Crush FM Launches

I just check WQSH on 105.7, but it was sounded good in the beginning if the signal reaches Kingston, but that lasted about month, until WKZE moved to 105.9 about a week ago, because of that stupid translator interfering with WQSH. That is a total waste of a jumbled mess.

I can't hear WQSH because of that WKZE's translator, Aaugh!

Looking forward hearing Michael Morgan again in this market playing 90's music. When Mark and Meradith tank bring on Woody and Jim.

They kept Mark? Why? They don't intend for this thing to be successful? Thanks for the warning to not turn it on this morning... what time is Mike on... thats when its safe to turn it on.

Sidekick or no sidekick Mark V. stinks....! Meridith is terrible, tripping over words. The rest of the day parts should be good! Wait and see how well they can voice track, the killer to modern day radio...

Is WKZE still on 105.9? I thoght they had to shut it off .Down here in Hyde Park , we don't get them. It's back to normal with a weak WQXR coming in for the 103.7 translator to pick up.

Have to agree Mike Morgan sounded really good, especially the all request lunch hour! Ellen isn't sounding to bad for as long as she's been out of radio. When the M&M morning show tanks, Ellen and Sugar Bear back in the morning.

After listening the past two days to Crush with it's jocks on, I fear it's not going to be able to hold onto the listener base it might have started with being commercial and jock free.
First up, Mark and Meredith....the only two holdovers from Buzz. They sound pretty bad. Boring, hard to listen to, and Meredith speaks with somewhat of a lisp. I don't understand why Mike Morgan would put them on the most important slot for the station.
Mike Morgan....his approach to radio hasn't changed since he was on the air on FLY back in the 80's. Sounds the same, does the same stuff. Personable enough, good midday jock.
Ellen Rockwell....Ellen sounded very nervous the past two days...could literally hear her voice shaking. She was also speaking incredibly fast which people do when they're nervous. Made me wonder if she was live, only because if she was voice tracked, that could all obviously be fixed. Either way, we'll see how she sounds after a week or two....see if she hits a stride. Not easy coming back on the air after 5-6 years.
Sugerbear....sounded relatively smooth. Didn't listen to him as much as the others, but he didn't sound like he had been off the air for a long time. Seemed to be able to jump right back into it.

Poor Mark Vanness. He gets no love. Mark is verry deffinitly, in my opinion, a verry qualified morning guy. He's done mornings in Syracuse, as well as being a programming director and morning man in Ithaca. I don't understand why people seem to think he's unqualified.

Maradith: She's OK. I do wish the morning show would talk more -- and not play so much music.

IMO, Mark is better with a partner. I did mornings solo and it wasn't easy. There's alot of juggling, etc. For the people that don't know the "behind the scenes" will have no clue.

People, you have to give it time to judge. Wait 6 months, then make the determination.

There isn't that kind of time in radio anymore.....succeed or go home. Unfortunately...the Buzz proved that. It was clear pretty quickly, that it wasn't going to work. Better come out swinging. It will be interesting to see how the winter book shapes up. Gotta keep the people who are sampling it now.

Actually the Buzz was given four years to fail....in its recent form on 105.7...Longer than that if you count the years on 104.5.
