Whey couldn't they do a wsba simulcast to get the big talking heads on fm? What could Clear Channel do to stop it?

Plenty. CC owns Rush, Beck, and part of Hannity.
forgot about that little detail. They could pull Levin, Laura Ingram, ?, Savage, and throw a liberal head in the mix....

and throw a liberal head in the mix....

Let's post this one more time.....liberal talk hasn't, doesn't and shows no signs of getting significant ratings! This is not a political statement, it's a ratings reality. Yes, there may be ratings drip and drabs, a spark here and there in isolated markets, but as a genre, it has consistently failed. You don't want to waste a big signal on it.

There have been reports of Jan Jeffries sightings in the area.

That kind of narrows things down a bit if that's true. According to what was reported when Mike McVay joined the company, Jan oversees CHR, Hot AC, and Country. Could that something "NEW" be a brand new CHR on 1067 with Country launching on 93.5? Or are the country rumors true?

1:06 will be here soon...

Given the history of Cumulus format flips in recent months, I'm getting a vibe that a new "journey" will start on 106.7 in a few hours...

My money would be on Country, but here's an outside the box thought: true soft AC. With the demise of WARM, there is not soft AC in York and there hasn't been one in Harrisburg for years. WARM was an old tired brand, but a new soft AC could generate some interest. However, it would compete with both WINK and SOX, so as I said, it's just a thought, and an unlikely one.

but a new soft AC could generate some interest.

Isn't a soft AC what the original incarnation of MIX 106.7 was from 2005-2008? Although I thought it was a better than average attempt at that format, it didn't really make the grade which resulted in an eventual modification to Classic Hits. That format actually had the best numbers on the frequency post Z107. This is not a suggestion to revert classic hits. It's just that soft AC approach didn't work even after WARM and The Rose had already abandoned that direction.

If they were to do a format other than country, why would they only be targeting Harrisburg and York in the teases? The Journey format, from what I understand, is a classic hits type format. Why would Lancaster NOT be targeted? Far two many variations of this format already. OK...you're probably saying that there are already too many country stations. Not really...just three main ones BOB, GTY, and I-105. BOB and GTY have been unchallenged for several years now. Cumulus has been firing up several new country stations as of late. As far as soft AC is concerned, it didn't work on MIX....and why would Lancaster not be targeted on the teases. My money is on country...in tandem with WIOV...as in the same format model as the two WINKS. If that happens..my next question is...what happens to RED. Here's an idea: Transfer the WCAT calls back to 106.7....put the WMHX calls on 102.3...and put Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel on 102.3. Cumulus owns that format and when they sell that station they can possibly get some cash from the new owners if they choose to keep the format.

If you are right the even more reason to move the X to 1067 and have country on both 105 frequencies....

Being in the trust, Cumulus CAN NOT TOUCH Red. It stays as it is until new owners buy it..whenever that happens....

Not in this market, but based on what I've read and how they put "new" in quotations... betting my money on something that's already been here before or expanding another station.

On my smart phone using tune in radio app it is showing Channel 106.7 then 103 WKDF Becca which is a country music station in Nashville.

Yes, the bets were on country music, and it was to be. I'm glad they are going with "Z" instead of "CAT" because old farts like me remember "Z 107".

Since not mentioned yet, the first song played after the flip was by Brad Paisley "This is Country Music". They're going to play 10,000 songs in a row. I was hoping for a "Radio 104.5" type station myself, but knew the inevitable would be country, however I will keep the preset on my radio since I used to listen to it in years past.

By the way, did anyone count the number of times the bell rang? My wife said it was probably 106 times.
