Its to the point that when I get up towards Hartford CT that I am an "excited puppy" to get good rock music on 106.9 and WLZX lazer 99.3
thoughts?
Why the excitement? You obviously have internet access.
They stream.
Just calm down and listen online.![]()

I wish I could get WKZQ 101.7 Myrtle beach since NYC radio is crap for the exception of 101.9 RXP who dares to be different.
Some stations stream in 128K but not most.Oh well.

Uhg... I've ignored your juvenile love of active rock long enough. I was fortunate enough to spend four years in the earlier part of the decade in the Pioneer Valley, beautiful place with wnderful people. Unfortunately, the Valley is surrounded on all sides by retards who have nothing better to do than drive around in their truck listening to the same four motley crue songs over and over and over. I HATED THE RADIO IN THE VALLEY. WCCC and fatboy Picozzi were like awful, angry, childish. Awful station with terrible music selection, although in their defense their cacophony was always current. WLZX, on the other hand, seemed to believe that the only two records released after 1988 were "Youth of the Nation" and "The Sickness." Just awful, WLZX, how many more times do you really need to hear "Kickstart My Heart" or "Crazytrain?"
The scary part is, the further you go from Boston, the more popular this music seems to be, at least with program directors. Active rock is just noise, and I'm convinced no one in an urban environment likes it, mostly because it appeals to the same demographic (teenage males) that hip-hop does. And hip-hop is an urban format. That's why Power 104.1 came about. But wait, there just aren't enough knuckleheads out ther to support either two a active rock or hip-hop stations so Power 104.1 became alternative. A format that appeals to educated males with disposable incomes.
Please tak your CCC posts back to the lardo Picozzi hartford/springfield board.
I'll have to remember those thanks.WCCC is AWFUL!!!
Jamie, try listening to WMMR, WLUP, WXTB online. They are all MUCH better rock stations. 106.9 is a wasted frequency
