i have one thing to say about Merlin can't they get there act together before they do all this tweaking?? it seems they get a station then do all this weird stunting and transmitter fixes on the air instead of just taking the station dark or maybe before they receive control!!
That was "one thing" more than needed.

This is like a brand new station going on the air. No one outside of us and Family radio listeners knows about the new format. They obviously can't test things when they are off the air, and there's no point waiting till the middle of the night to test.

also,

The Mentde ID's have also taken a kind of derisive turn, describing the future of FM radio as one host per station, plugging and asking, "...Hannity 106-9?"

I'm told that the WKDN equipment is '70's Vintage. Probably beat to crap. The 38 kW from Camden still sounds good, and I bet they're trying to get the 9 kW atop One Liberty in shape. Thanks to ccuphl for the correct aux site info.
I can believe that. Probably used equipment until it nolonger worked, since nothing was produced locally. Merlin probably would've had to record their promos to 8-track tapes if they were using any of the excising equipment. So yeah this is exactly like a brand new radio station.

With this thread, I see the Philly board is quickly becoming my version of "Rio Linda".

Rio Linda if anyone sees any SEPTA Buses up on bricks let me know. By the way in Rio Linda they have to take a Night School Course on how to turn a Radio on.

I have enough blogs on it and just don't feel it has much to do with radio in particular other than unfortunately the styles of music that monopolize the radio band here is not exactly in my demographic ;)
