Maybe a placeholder for the launch of Audacy's sports betting network here? How long has KMLE been simulcasting KOOL-FM on HD3? I'm new to PHX, but just noticed this now. If they've been doing this for a while, what's the point? Both seem to have city grade signals.
or testing ahead of leasing out the subchannnel to someone running a translator. Either way, it's not meant to be permanent, it's just more pleasant for engineering to listen to than a 1k tone.Maybe a placeholder for the launch of Audacy's sports betting network here?
Just what the market needs...another Sports Parking Lot! The Nurse and I think you may be right as to make the network work, they need Phoenix. Interesting that KQFN 15~Eighty is now using "Arizona's Sports Betting Station". There's a lot of $$ in sports betting.Maybe a placeholder for the launch of Audacy's sports betting network here?
Of course, the solution to that is: Don't bet on sports. It's worse than dropping a couple bucks on Power Ball tickets.Sports betting is the latest scheme for taxing people with low to moderate income instead of taxing the rich.
Aren't all HD 2 and 3 channels just placeholders at this point? Low-effort secondary stations or simulcasts of other company properties from other markets, peppered with a few pet projects...none of which are generating all that much in the way of revenue.Maybe a placeholder for the launch of Audacy's sports betting network here?
That'd be the 'punch line' of the hard-sell.<...> I'm not sure how a radio station might fit into the betting process. The station broadcasts the odds and then tells listeners to download some app to place a bet?

KQFN has affiliated with VSIN (a sports betting radio network), and now airs content from them middays and evenings. The programming is worse than what CBS Sports Radio network shows it replaced, but there's probably a monetary incentive for them. I don't know who I'd rather listen to at 2pm if I don't like 98.7's programming at that time: the sports guys selling cars on 910 or the betting show on 1580.Just what the market needs...another Sports Parking Lot! It was put on pre-Entercom/Audacy, want to say it was before 2017 but ES could confirm as he put in on the air. HD2 was mainly used for big events, Country Thunder and Birds Nest; otherwise it was just commercial free country. How long has KMLE been simulcasting KOOL-FM on HD3? 107.9 HD2 was a Tim & Willy-branded Classic Country station for a year or two when they started broadcasting HD in 2007.It was put on pre-Entercom/Audacy, want to say it was before 2017 but ES could confirm as he put in on the air. YIKES!Speaking of Classic Country, probably a good idea for Hubbard's 92.7 translator, now that The Wow Factor has stolen their current audience.
