Panama City and Panama City Beach will be a good spot for dance and techno music like South Florida does. Like Party 93.1 from South Florida and here in the North Florida and Northwest Florida for 107.9

Party 93.1 in Miami flipped formats in December 2010. They are now "Easy 93.1, playing South Florida's Soft and easy favorites."

Actually, 93.1 in Miami flipped to Active rock in April 2005, then flipped to AC in December 2010. Its HD2 channel carries the Dance format.

By the way, I forgot to mention that given the state of over radio along the coast, the majority of the stations are pretty dang decent. When you figure in the potential revenue and amount of operating expenses, it's amazing that more stations aren't sounding like they are on life support.
My issue with WPFM is that it's merely in a highly competitive niche that is nearly impossible to win without serious expense, time and strong on air/marketing effort. It can be won. We've all seen that happen. But, Double 0 MUST back the local team and fire them up. I do tend to think the hole in the formats is clearly Lite AC and V had some decent success with it. We all can use a little more Donna Summer.

I think Tibbs just beat me to this one...
Would Lite AC be a WDUV (Tampa) type format? (i.e. is easy listening the same as Lite AC?) If not, would that format work on one of the PC Beach stations? Perhaps the new 104.3? I'd suggest the format for FWB and Pensacola also, but we don't have enough extra signals over here.

As an aside, that should probably be a new thread, FWB and Pensacola have lost our AAA music on WUWF-HD2. They replaced it with Classical.

Well they are back to Hot 107.9. I guess they finally admit that they made a mistake almost ten years ago. So instead of having a heritage rhythmic to build off of. They have to start all over again with even bigger uphill battle than they had before. I agree with B.Holmes they need to get rid of the point 9. It sounds dated in today's age. I also agree Kid Kraddick just doesn't fit the format. I don't really care for the pitching up of all the songs either. I just hope they don't bring back Robbie Raggs. lol

they were on the air last week for 18 hrs to preserve their license....they have done that for the past 3 years
Do they have their facilities built out? Are they piggybacking on another station's backup or running some other type of temporary transmitter?

If they've been "ready to roll" for three years and still aren't using the license, I'm sure that Beach 95.1 would love to trade frequencies with 104.3... or LMA it for a simulcast.

Ealier this week I hread 104.3 FM on my radio and I thought it was Panama City's new WWVH-FM but it wasnt it was WHLW 104.3 out of Montgomery Ala. playing Black Gospel Music. I am in Wakulla/Crawfordville Florida and this week is kind of crazy week to pick up far away good stations during the foggy weather the other week and some what in the lunch time late morining hous radio stations still booming utill 12noon after that they were gone and loss the singal. Also I been getting Tampa Bay's and Orlando stations coming in well to the big bend area ealier this week as well. Like I said crazy week for far away good stations from out of town.

WHLW 104.3 out of Luverne, AL may be on the tallest tower in the state and has a crazy huge coverage area... second only to Troy, Alabama's Hot 105.7 (I think) WHLW easily reaches I-10 near Marianna, FL on car radios. It shouldn't be all that rare for it to reach Tally. Hot 105.7 reached Pensacola before we got a local assigned to that frequency about a decade ago.

To be exact, both Hallelujah and Hot are located on the tall WSFA Channel 12 TV tower, near Grady Alabama.

Hot 105.7 FM comes in very clear, most days, in my area.

Hallelujah 104.3 has its good days and bad days though.

Hot 107.9 should do Big Boy's Neighborhood for their morning show. By the way, is 107.9 still running AT 40 with Ryan Seacrest?

Due to us sucking.. we will be bringing back "the great 108" playing analog vinyl from the 70s and 80s top 40 hits... we shal open up with falco's "rock me amadus"

The internet.. what's that? this is the 1980s.. and the strip on panama city's beaches will once again hear our glory..

Our ratings will be #1 again.. Rock on.

Front Beach Drive? What city is that in? Here in Panama City Beach, Capt. Anderson's is on Thomas Drive and not Front Beach Road. Why were you in an SUV?

My head hurts. April Fools on me. Thanks, Robbie in FWB.

Dang CCENG, Rob typed that out at 4:40A, as in the early morning. Yuck. Swore never again after 1987 would I arise at 4: something...

Anyway, all I can say is sadly the last few post above actually MAKE SENSE. Forget the sweet tea, CCENG. I need clarity .... calling "Jimi" Hendrick's Gin...

Cpt A's is about the only thing left of the good stuff. I guess the Treasure Ship is sunk for good?
"But them brilliant condos that blanket the beach like a wall will put PCB on the map..."
