What are you thinking? "Crack 1190?" Actually KRCK in Palm Springs would have something to say about using those call letters, anyway...

It will be interesting to see what this auction brings. Neither one of these two signals is absolutely horrible, but neither one is competitive--even with just the other AM sticks in PHX & Denver. 1190 could be upgraded into a pretty competitive AM signal, but not without investing millions that would never be returned (a "Money Trap"). As-is? I'm guessing they're both worth the price of a mid-priced house in Mesa?

But here's the Big Question. Is Dr. Mike & his "On Second Thought" (or is it now "On Third Thought?") going to pony up the couple hundred grand to snag this valued chunk of spectrum space in order to get his dulcet tones back on the amplitude modulation contraption?
