What "old transmitter site"? KSUR's transmitter is still on Lassen St. in Mission Hills.

Of course, no AM has the kind of signal in metro areas these days that it did in the 1960s. Electrical interference has gotten much worse. Even 1260 having a 20kW day/7.5 kW night license doesn't help much anymore.

So today at lunch I shuffled for the first time

The promos kept saying it was different, but the songs were the same. And last night, when I guess they're still on satellite, nothing was changed either.

Does Saul really think that one day, one of his formats will just explode with popularity? What are the chances of that? I'm sure there are whole groups of disgruntled listeners who are still pissed he got rid of (name format here) and will never sample him again.

Yes, although K-Traffic was on 1650, not 1260.
