Also, does anyone know about this "hinted" issues with Sturm and managment that were mentioned on air today??

He was out sick on Monday. Are you sure it just wasn't their usual bit of saying that he's job hunting any time he's not on the air?

Hopefully Sturm will be back soon, BaD radio is about the only show on the ticket I like, save grandpa norm...

It's amazing how many Dallas area radio people love to bash and talk down the business in their own market. The constant bashing of co-workers and future co-workers is bad for business.

That is why the Dallas Radio market is suffering. The same old people beating each other up!

Fire the negative veterans and hire fresh talent - that understands this high-tech world.

Mookie, you make a good point, This business is full of the "Grizzled Old Farts" who remember the days you had to take a FCC test to be an on-air jock and couldnt say "booger" on the air. Like alot of other businesses, its the "baby boom" generation thats holding things up for the up and comers, as they dont want to let go of their fifedoms and retire gracefully. That being said, I also agree theres nothing wrong with a little wisdom from the older generation on how to handle things in a proper manner. I just think the up and comers need a chance to both succeed and screw up, as its the only way they'll learn how to be successful.

Good Points!

It's just frustrating to hear so many great radio people beating each other up. It's not good for business.

The veterans can offer a lot of wisdom and they can learn a lot.

Of course it isn't good. But this board by far is one of thousands and thousands were pros get bashed. That's just the way life is, unfortunately.
