Are we thinking of the same guy? Wadell has been around the Dayton and Cincinnati area for a long time and did a very solid job. He may not have been the most opinionated guy in the world, but always seemed prepared and kept the conversation moving. He was always covering the Bengals at there press briefings and I never heard him mispronounce a name that it was noticeable. Jeff Piecoro was the one that couldn't pronounce anything correctly or finish a sentence. Either of them are a far sight better than guys on now. I quit listening and now get ESPN radio on 1410 here in Dayton.
