Frost Stillwell will continue to have the last laugh on the narcissistic duo, who slip further into oblivion?

I just said KLOS will go all Talk. 95.5 should remain KLOS but drop the Classic Rock and add more talk hosts after Mark & Brian, including moving Sean Hannity from KABC. KABC has no brand value anymore. Citadel could either trade 790 AM for an FM signal in a smaller market or sell it outright and reinvest the proceeds into the KLOS brand, which is still worth something.
KSWD should sit tight. Bonneville's investment in The Sound will pay off when KLOS goes Talk. Oh, and this might force CC to hurry their KFI-FM plans.

Why would KLOS let go of their strong hold of classic rock in LA?
That would be an idiotic move IMO

But it _is_ a 40 Principales / Exa type station.
AM FM listener said:News and Talk on FM is a re-emerging trend nationally but nobody in LA has made the decision yet. CC is dragging their feet with KFI, leaving the door cracked open for someone to trump them.

Yeah, but Los 40 & Exa sound fresh, they feature a lot of new music. Heck, Exa en el DF airs David Guetta's mixshow! Super Estrella sounds stale.

Sounds like any typical classic rock station... :![]()
These type of quotes from "older" rock fans frustrate me. Here is a a short list of terrific current rock oriented bands in no particular order:ChannelFlipper said:Since I zing Ladd somewhat regularly in this space I will actually take the other side for a moment. He may have an unshakable addiction to the Doors and a few others, but unfortunately its not like there are a lot great rock bands out there these days to hitch a wagon to. I'm struggling to name one. This is why rock radio died a long time ago.The nineties were a complete downer with all of the grunge bands feeling sorry for themselves and the last 10 years have featured bands that have better tattoos than music. Where is the next Zeppelin, or even Van Halen? I'd rather play my old Van Halen I or Diver Down CDs than anything on rock radio today, be it modern, alt, or classic.

KPFK goes broke and sells it's beautiful, crystal clear 110K watt frequency, 90.7
KPCC goes ahead and buys it and moves to 90.7, and start a full-time AAA/Modern Rock station, (similar to The Current in Minneapolis and on KPCC'S HD3 and what KCRW plays at night) on 89.3.
A music fan can dream ;D

Now that's downright counter-revolutionary, comrade. Your comment will eventually be dealt with by the highest authorities of the Comintern. We'll see how you like THAT music!![]()
