Wow! That is a very interesting bit of information. It makes sense, just not something I've ever thought about.

Point made. But...sports owners these days seem to be buying broadcast outlets for the purpose of putting their games on those outlets. Look at the various teams who have started in-house cable TV networks...the Indians here being only the most recent.

And they've already announced that the Spanish-language Angels broadcasts WILL be on this station, from day one.

That said, I'm still not automatically speculating that the Angels in English will go there as well. He may well be aiming to run an bilingual hybrid station aimed at Hispanics, with the Angels rights in Spanish as a cornerstone. He obviously is not going to do GAME broadcasts bilingual (and can't), and can't run both language feeds at once on one frequency.
