It was on Broadcasting Road, in a very UNdeveloped area a couple miles from the Berkshire Mall. I remember going out there during my WEEU days with our Chief Engineer, and being asked if I wanted to shoot some random vermin -- (To which, I politely declined.)
Imagine my shock well over 10 years later, coming back home to Reading with my girlfriend...looking for a place to eat...and learning Reading FINALLY has a Chili's. So, we get the address, and I am clueless. I lived there for YEARS, and had never heard of the street. I call them for directions, and they tell me it's just off Route 12. ROUTE 12??? NEVER HEARD OF IT! Felt like I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone. I then find out Route 12 is the old "Road To Nowhere" (only in Berks County), and Chili's is sitting smack dab on the old WEEU tower site. I told my girlfirend that "years ago on this very spot, the type of animal on your plate was shot, and my voice emulated with 5,000 watts from now non-existant radio towers." Very odd.
