gr8oldies said:That's fine except that 99.99% of your audience is not made of record collectors. In the ratings and revenue business, that's a killer.

Hardly nothing, before the song trivia this board has been very quiet.

Probably because '50s/early '60s radio has been very quiet. Unless you're talking about satellite or internet radio. And they have their own boards. I don't know of any major OTA markets that program this format. I hate to say it, but this board is obsolete.

I saw Chuck in 1957, and again a few months ago. It wasn't the same show . Why would THAT be a surprise? His recent show was about a hour and 15 minutes. That's standard for a casino show..................they want to get the crowd out into the casino. It was a small venue, about 500 people. He did most of the songs the crowd wanted to hear, but maybe not always the full 2 1/2 minute versions. The crowd was happy. Chuck interacted well with the audience and seemed to be enjoying himself (why else would an 84-year old performer go on the road?). I got my money's worth and would go to see him again anytime.
