BTN syndicated part of their show, and part of their time slot was completely local business and not covered by the network. I've listened to Business Talk Radio and Dave and Amanda were fish out of water. The show was well produced and Dave and Amanda gave some personality to the network whose programming is otherwise very dry. Its not that the information isn't valuable or interesting, but for the most part the presentation put me to sleep. Dave and Amanda gave business some color. The local part was doomed because WLIE had already tried and failed at the local show route. Not enough listeners.
A very sad week for Long Island radio indeed. To David and Amanda, I thought you did a fantastic job and showed great flexiblitiy and professionalsm in accepting the challenge of creating a colorful business program for radio. Good luck to both of you, and whoever else had a hand in the program.
