5p.m. Simpsons

What happened to the 5 p.m. airing of The Simpsons on WFLD. I turned them on and "Yes Dear" was on. Did they move the Simpsons to another time, or is only airing twice at 6 and 10, or was it possibly something else that caused the schedule to get delayed today. It seems pretty stupid to replace a show that gets high ratings with a show that will get mediocre ratings at best.

Possible move to get ready for a 5 pm news?? Hey.. At least Fox 32 is running them every day... Fox 39 out here only runs them on Sunday following Fox's Sunday programming.

When WFLD started "Yes Dear," they aired an hour of it from 4pm - 5pm. Then they moved the 4pm to 12:30am. Once WFLD gave up "Fraiser" (to WCIU Channel 26), they moved "Yes Dear," to 5pm from 12:30am and now run infomercials in that slot.

I was thinking perhaps they paid for 2 daily airings of that show?

I would HOPE so, there's no other justifiable reason for dropping any Simpsons airing in exchange for mediocre, unfunny dreck like "Yes, Dear" (or for adding more infomercials, for that matter). If I still lived in the market I'd be steamed.

But as AC said, do keep in mind that Chicago still has it far better than smaller markets such as Rockford and Toledo, which seem to go back and forth between weekends only and one daily weekday airing.
