The interference is likely the salt-water path groundwave signals, or at least one of them, of the various Cuban stations placed on the channel to keep WAQI from making landfall in Cuba.

No, just for the ones that can put a signal over Cuba which are 670, 710, 1140. The rest really have no signal, or don't have programming that bothers the authorities in Cuba.
