Ever since I broke the 4,000 mile mark with my catch of WLW here, my next goal has been to hear WABC.
The longer I listen to 780 here, the more I hear WBBM try to battle it out with the much closer KKOH, so I figured it wasn't a real stretch to think WABC could do the same with KKOB.
770 here at night is always a fairly good KKOB but sometimes there's another station in the background that tries to battle with KKOB.
So I know there's the station in Calgary CHQR that's 50 kw but look at their signal pattern.

Of course, there's KTTH in Seattle and here's their pattern.

And I didn't even realize there's also a station in Manteca, California. KCBC. According to their signal pattern, I should be hearing them.

But they are a religious station and I know whatever I'm hearing is not religious. That's weird.
So I found out that both KKOB and WABC carry the show Red Eye Radio at the same time and after checking, none of the above mentioned other stations carry it.
It's hard to say for absolute sure, but when the mystery station behind KKOB comes in and is at it's strongest, it sounds like the same Red Eye Radio guys.
While I would expect to hear an echo effect if it's the same show at the same time, as I've heard with other stations on the same frequency broadcasting the same show, that's not what I hear.
I'm wondering if maybe there is a significant delay between the two stations broadcasting the same show? Or is it just wishful thinking?
According to the 77 Musicradio site, they've been heard in Hawaii.
I'd appreciate any input on this as to what I may be hearing.
