Mea culpa - "speculation" would have been a better word than "rumor" in my post above.

"rumor" would have been better than "roomer" in the previous post to yours.
Auto-correct must be running amook amock amuck ;D

Did anyone say to was rumor??? Just said that was what someone said on that "other" board. Boy you folks just don't get it do you?? I was pointing out how outlandish some of the posts on message boards are. Read others in that thread on that "other" board and you will see folks suggesting everything from CBS Sports to WINS on 770, to the return of Musicradio. Please tell me you don't expect things to be true because you read it on the internet??? Relax a bit folks...life is too short!

Please tell me you're not a professional broadcast journalist. But nice job back-tracking.

That would be a great idea. Remember last week when ABC is getting a new partnership with CC to launch "iHeartRadio Talk" which is going to be launch in the fall. This is going when I read the announcement when ABC joins Clear Channel, but if you haven't read the announcement last week.

Since Cumulus doesn't appear to be concerned about ratings, only money, CBS should buy the 770 khz signal for cash and the signal on 1010khz. CBS should move WINS to 770 and Cumulus can syndicate and broker time to its heart's content on 1010. It's fun playing with other people's money, right? ;D

Overall, yeah, better signal, more ratings, but the branding seems awkward to me, 770 WINS (unless they change away from WINS, which would be a total shock as everyone knows the WINS thing is legendary, etc), and Cumulus/Disney doesn't care much if the signal can be heard in Philly or Boston, but if it is heard in the Tri-State which it mostly is. Other than branding issues (my opinion, anyone else's may vary), hey its not a horrible plan!
