Clarke - what's your 1970s cutoff point? I'm in Fo-Hi (aka forest hills) and as people have pointed out on here before, the lovely foliage of "Tree City USA" tends to make for a$$y radio reception.

Wow, trees block radio reception? AND cause air pollution?
I say, get rid of 'em all! ;D

The most recent song in the library is "Grease" from 1978, and that's an exception because the song points back
to the 1950's. There's not much in there past 1974.

I am glad you are not neglecting the early '60's music. Last night, I heard "Travelin' Man" by Ricky Nelson (1961) and "Chapel of Love" by the Dixie Cups (1964). But what about oldies from the late '50's. Are they included in your evening rotation? I've always felt the ideal oldies station would play music from about 1955-1975.

We do not play Piano Man. :)

Fear not, 3WS has it on right now............so what else would they play?????????

We play a few songs from the late 1950s. They have been very carefully chosen.

For what it's worth like many of you and eluded to, I as well very much enjoy what both 620 and 770 are doing with there musical programming, and have both stations on my presets, as well as get great reception in my suburban Johnstown home with the GE Super III. This is always a realy cool time of year as well, being able to pick up 620's signal until nearly (sometimes after) 9. Again, I know its up to ones individual tastes......but I commend and applaud Mr.Stpehens and his staff for what they are doing and presenting. I also admire cingram's passion for the both stations (We miss the the KQV countdown flashbacks) and speaking of the jingles to which he eludes to, add so very much to the nostialgic feel. As a married 47 year-old Father of three.....long gone is the permed mullet and the tons of concert t-shirts. All that's left are the framed Iron Maiden, Accept, WASP and Megadeth (just to name a few) ticket stubs. What's left is someone who enjoys sittin on the deck with friends, cold Stoney's in hand, and listening Thunderclap Newuman, Bob Welch (RIP) and Sly and the family Stone (Hot fun in the summertime), just to name a few....all mixed toghether to perfection on 620. (Bill Korch does a great job in the am as well).....Just some personal feelings.

From what I understand, Freddy, you were listening to that couple's swansong on 770KFB.

Had 770 on in the car today and they were still there (though I have to give 770 Management some
credit....cranking the pots all the way up to 11 so that nobody can understand a bloody word they
are saying was a capital idea!) :D
