790 The Zone - facepalm

IMHO: If they only get suspended, they are lucky. This wasn't an off the cuff live slip up. Just like the Regular Guys' bathroom bit with the Hispanic DJ's that leaded to the death of 96Rock, (which wasn't funny either) this was planned and a producer or on the air talent should have stopped it before it aired. I wonder if anyone in management will be in trouble for not having "control" of the air-staff.
 
I'm a 790 fan and hope the station survives it, but is it possible that termination - and the ability to take their services elsewhere while 92.9 is looking for shows - was planned by the three of them ahead of time.
 
I guess that this opens up the full ESPN schedule for 790 now. Undoubtedly,you'll be hearing Mike & Mike for the foreseeable future,maybe permanently. This will make the current on-air staff at 92.9 nervous,with the exception of Randy Cross & Jamie Dukes. Buck & Kincade may be looking over their shoulders as well.
 
This really is sad since all have been at the station seemingly forever. Dimino and Cellini are among the best I've heard. Dimino does a ton of stuff surrounding the Falcons games. I suppose this is the end of that, also.
 
In all seriousness,what will happen to the Falcons flagship deal AND the Georgia Tech flagship deal? Are emergency discussions already underway to relocate these two teams to other stations as quickly as possible? Maybe even WGST(not very likely,but I thought I'd mention it since GST was the ORIGINAL Tech flagship station) ??

There's no way in hell 92.9 even fathoms hiring these dolts after this. Would be a PR disaster.

6 months from now the PR disaster is over. Life is full of second chances and believe it or not we live in a very forgiving society.
 
True, we are a forgiving society but should we be in a situation like this one?

These are grown men not 8 year old boys. They should have known better and the fact that they did not shows what their mindset is and what kind of people they are.
 
This will eventually blow over. Whether any of them will land another gig in Atlanta, however, is a worthy debate. Given there history there, I think they can. A year ago, people were wondering if Rush Limbaugh would survive his comments over Sandra Fluke. Of course, for every Limbaugh who survived, there are those who didn't, like Don Imus. We'll see.

6 months from now we're in the middle of football season, probably battling the Saints for the division. Pretty good bet that those fans aren't going to forget and there are a lot of them in Atlanta. I have a really hard time believing someone would hire them.

Who brought up these three insensitive so called human beings?

Bullying is bad enough, but here they picked on someone who has zero chance of fighting back.

Who hired these simpletons in the first place????
