Would that be 1530 WJDM?

In a dream world, we could bring back 1590 WERA -- this time on 1580 AM so it won't step on WWRL -- and move the Harvest Radio folks there, so they can have a full-time signal right in their own home city of Plainfield. Meanwhile, that would free up 1070 WKMB to be your toy -- perhaps combining all of those formats together into "Neal-AM"!

Maybe maybe not
the property was sold the Towers are Down so WERA is a pipe dream.
at this point it looks like I will have to create my own
Internet radio group with different formats.anyone have any bumpers, drops
IDs that Could Be used for this...
Im still looking for the Oldies 102.3 stuff floating Out there...
that format could work.
have a legal licensed station On 102.3 to put that on for a few hours a day.
now that Ed is gone I need some stuff to be created so we can produce
Smooth Jazz 88.1 a few hours a day also...
Posibilities are there.
I thought about
WCBR Were Community Based Radio.... On the internet would be fun.
but they are assigned to a 250 watt AM Daytimer in Richmond,Ky
Best Bet is the Un-used WERA 1590 webstream...
Now I need some bumpers, drops, liners for 1590 WERA Country Station
WERA= WERE A Country station
any takers????
Send them as MP'3 44100 192k 16 bit stereo

1590 WERA is dead

That's news to me... I haven't driven past the site in a while so I didn't notice. Some schools still have WERA on their list of stations to listen to for snow closing announcements!

Assuming you mean putting Oldies on WUPC-LP...

Wouldn't that be in direct competition to Ocean County's Oldies 100.1 and even WOGL which covers all of Ocean County also?

Re: Oldies

Yes WUPC-LP
Now lets see what makes up the Term Comeptition....
A).Would that be multiple stations in the same market fighting for the same advertising dollars?.
B) a non-com that could get some money from those same advertising dollars?.
C) an LPFM thats not allowed sponsership dollars at all?.

The Answer is: A and C
there is no competition from an LPFM... something The NAB had been worried about , that the Rules made sure would never happen.

So If you think a 100 watt LPFM that has no Sponsorship/Ad's or Endorsements.
Is Zero advertising Money is going to Be competition to 2 Commercial stations. Not a chance.
Now if there was advertising money Involved then it would Be competition.
Im sorry John, But Its funny how people think...
No-one Ever thought to question that when the 5000 watt WPDQ Oldies 89.7
was around,That was a Non-com looking For sponsership dollars.
but when you have to even think competition from a 100 watt LPFM.
thats sad.. LOL Lets get real...
Not meaning you John, but people who think like that Need to be in straight jackets or be given some lithium.
Why Not Put Oldies on 102.3 LPFM? lots Of bumpers, Liners and drops Out there
to do it... Heck have you Ever listened to Oldies 102.3 webstream from the Philipsburg area On the web. They use liners and stuff from many well known DJ's and Its imaging sounds better than CBS FM ever did.
If I took that format and just added the Legal ID at the TOH. I bet it would Turn Heads.
If I put Country on there would You think that would Be Competition to Cat Country?. its Only for a few hours a day Not 24/7.
Besides I met a few members of OLDIES 100 at Sailfest yesterday The one guy PETE? was a real Jerk He should be Fired. thats a story to tell you Off line.
Greater Media owns both Oldies 100 and WMTR/WWTR oldies...
2 totally different stations.. Let me say this I would rather listen to WMTR/WWTR its programming is so much better. better Jocks, Liners bumpers, drops
No wonder its doing great in the ratings.. I listen to Oldies 100 yesterday.
I think they should disconnect its Ocean county studios, and feed it from the morristown studios. I also wonder If its the Same PD or 2 different guys..
The guys up in Morristown gets 2 thumbs up for WMTR..

sounds Like I could use some of that lithium....

On my Grundig YB400PE, I am able to receive a faint signal of 89.3 from my house in Newark. The only thing that keeps it unlistenable is the interference from WFDU & WNYU 89.1 and WSOU 89.5.
