David...somehow I just knew you'd chime in. "Top 10 25-54...they'll be in on most agency buys." Gimme a break. The station is DYING. $16-mil last year, $23-mil with oldies and $40-mil five years ago.
It's a trainwreck with a lot less appeal than other 25-54 buys.
Now, argue that point, as you surely will...and we'll see if Jack remains at $16-mil with three quarters of a year to go.
Treading water isn't smart buys for any station, top 10 or not...especially as unpopular a move as this was, and the revenues prove it.
Professor Jerry DelColliano of USC tells it best...
The first full year of "Jack" only did $16.1 million.
$40 million down to $23.9 million down to $16.1 million.
And if you're looking for ratings, "Jack" is weak there, too.
