> Saw your smooth jazz van. Nice. What happened?
They've got a van?? Good for them!! I've always had the gut feeling that Hall really has invested more into this format than most other companies want to invest in a fledging format. Good for them. Contests. Promotions. Giveaways. Call-ins. Concerts. That's what running a smooth jazz station is all about.
Too many small market smooth jazz stations do nothing but put on satellite smooth jazz tunes, never promote it, and then flip formats a year later when the ratings get a 0.0.
WSJW doesn't get stellar ratings, but they're more solid than the other formats on the station in the past. They've got a marginal signal at best, so what they get ain't bad at all. They have filled a nice little hole.
