923 k-rock already fighting back?

This is a fight K-Rock will not win. Throw in the towel, play some amusing stunt, and bring out the cowboy hats. Get an energetic, young morning team who can present the country music in a top 40 style and you have a winner. You need not bring back the YNY jocks, it can be fresh and new. It would cost nothing to promote because it would gain news coverage.

Need I remind folks the "fresh new" sound of Jack got a lot of press when it kicked off here - then again, CBS-FM has far more legions than tiny WXRK...

Lazer 99.3 WLZX

I went to UMass during the first half of the decade when nu-metal was still huge. Lazer had a wicked tight playlist, they played Youth of the Nation and the Sickness every thirty minutes. The hair club for men sucked as well. It was wierd because for myself and my buddies our appreciation for WLZX was inversely proportional to the level of higher education attained. I gotta say though, their imaging was brilliant, remember the billboard on rt 9 in front of the hampshire mall with the guy bent over such that his head was in his ass. Their marketing was "pull your head out - Lazer 99-3." Way better than K-Rock.
