It's still to AM ???

"AM" as in KLIF vs it's antithesis, it's Heavy 'Sister" KNUS FM.....
That's what I mean... that's always what I will mean Robert.![]()

Then I guess you meant "too", not "to"
I fail to see how music schedule editing compares to AM radio. Scheduling software, when configured properly, controls the repetition and content. This of course assumes the person setting up the priorities, knows exactly what s/he is doing.
Would you rather music programmers go back to using the index card method?

Robert Bass said:Ummm, well.... If you don't want a specific artist / song to play, then you don't enter it into the music scheduling software. It's that simple.
In the day when jocks got to pick whatever song they wanted, from the active library, patterns emerged. Jocks tended to play / overplay their personal favorites from the active list, and ignore the others. It waa essentially biased programming, and listeners typically called in complaints of the same song airing at the same time olf day, and so on.
when configured properly, Music scheduling software removes the bias, and evens the rotations.

And removes the musical creativity/personality the jocks had "back in the day". One person's "biased programming" is another person's "I love his show". Remember when "shows" weren't just on in morning drive?

Computers had nothing to do with that. That is the result of PD's / GM's. etc.
