Yes, Mix 101.5 WRAL has been the dominant AC (mostly) over the past, oh, 30 years or so. They always seem to go up when they lean hot, down when they lean soft. I have no idea why they keep going back to mainstream AC. But this move by CC will probably put WRAL squarely in the mianstream AC leaning soft category. No use trying to knock on G105 and Kiss's doors.
I seriously doubt CC's phones are jammed. 100.7 has basically gone back to oldies. In fact, listening to them recently last week, they sound like they did early on in the WTRG days when they had that scalloped triangle logo, lots of attitude "music whose time has come again", none of that oldies fun fun happy fun fun baloney. WRSN was a one note johnny - going to Christmas music eary to get a Winter and Spring jump on WRAL. I think CC is doing a better job (crappy, up from uber crappy) in covering the demographic spread with this change. The big benefit for triangle listeners will be if G105 returns to its alternative lean from the 90's.
