94.7 Updates

Another interesting note, the format of wheels is repeated every hour twenty or so, and the toh is repeated twice in the loop not at the top of the hour. Love the smooth jazz, I wish it was fovever!
 
They just played a clip of Cousin Brucie from when he worked in 77 WABC. Nice touch there. ;D

Whatever happens on Monday, there's still that unresolved matter of 103.9 FM and whether they'll make the move into the city.

Hearing Donald Trump reminds me of the WFNY to WXRK stunting with the flip back to K-Rock and the whole degenerate thing. Actually now that I think about it that stunting was a lot more entertaining than this.
 
They had a loop that was all New Jersey artists too. From Bruce Springsteen, Sinatra, Franki Valli, Bon Jovi and Whitney Houston. Kind of a neat stunt. A little of everything.

Got the stream working on my iPod touch (thanks pjc1961! ;D ) It's a bit annoying, as they're not playing entire songs.

The Twitter account associated with the above linked tweet is from "@NewRock10190" which links to a Facebook fan page set up for people *wanting* the alt. rock format to return - not "@NewRock1019" which is the legitimate account for the online station left over from the 2nd Merlin incarnation of the rock format. (Still has a stream online, too.)

In other words, deception from a fan site's point of view *wishing and hoping* for the rock format to return.

Oh I agree.. actually I would be fine with a Christian CHR/Rock format in NYC :)
