Yeah, I didn't know how to word that post... but I felt that Rob deserved a nod for noticing The Fox wasn't at full power.
I'm just a broadcasting/journalism dropout. I'm closer to being a peer of Rob's than you or Tibbs. I'm not qualified to "take Rob down."

back to the topic at hand ;) ....

www.945wfla.com is now online running the Bob and Tom stunting.

Good guess that programming will reflect that of other CC News Talk stations (i.e. 100.7 Tallahassee).

Rush is pretty much a given for the new lineup, but what about ....

How much will CC flex its muscle and make a grab for Hannity, Beck, Levin, Drudge, Kommando and Coast to Coast taking these away from WYOO?

Will Doc Washburn make a return to the PC area with the morning show?

WYOO is a Fox affiliate.
WFLA is a Fox affiliate.

One of these will change.

Will 94.5 be changing the calls to WFLA in PC? I think they're in Tallahassee, right?
Rob, you should get first shot at this one, since I trashed ya on the 'All Things Considered' comment.
Hope you're well. Also, any news on 98-1 in Ft. Walton? Something should be happening
by now.

Since Clear Channel's Premiere Radio distributes Fox News Radio, I wouldn't be surprised if they took it. They've shown they can take KISS from anyone in a market they share.

I don't think they'll take the WFLA-FM calls, which are currently in Tallahassee. WFLF in Orlando also calls itself WFLA. Unfortunately obvious calls like WFLP and WFPC are in use. They might just retain WFBX.

Look at the links the WFLA branding is obvious, the calls do not need to change to use "WFLA."

Looks like they're going to take the calls WFLF-FM.

So based on info so far, looks like this will be the lineup (correct for CST):
http://www.970wfla.com/pages/local_schedule.html

Without the Schnitt Show, this would be the next guess:
http://www.wflafm.com/pages/lineup.html

Agree with "Dude" regarding branding.

540 WFLA has this schedule.

There was also the WFLA on the east coast of the Florida peninsula that doesn't use the branding anymore, but I can't remember what station it was.

Looks like the stunt is over. They're playing JT The Brick (Fox Sports Radio). Guess that's the overnight programming.

Livingfruit...

Looks like you have some friends on Lisenby Avenue. Click on any of your links and see what's displayed. It's SFW and it's funny.

BTW, now that Rush is back on FM...what's WLTG doing for programming from 11a-2p? That was the only period in which the station had any semblance of ratings. Too bad for them they lost the Gators a couple of years ago as well.

A related footnote...for those of you keeping score at home, it's been a decade since Rush could be heard on FM.

That is funny.

Too bad the 945wfla webmaster spent all that time on that little bit instead of making sure all the links worked. (that's almost funnier)

So is it

Bob and Tom
Dennis Miller
Rush
Schnitt
Rick and Bubba?
Mike McConnell

Gotta say I am a little disappointed. Why did they not take Beck who gets 11 shares and C2C?

edit - I say this with a tad bit of bitterness because I wanted to be a part of the station when I got canned in Birmingham.

I'll ask this again...what's LTG going to do now that they've lost Rush? I would check their website, but, well, you know, they don't have a website...

Dale, I too am curious why they didn't yank Beck away from YOO. Unless whoever is driving the ship feels Miller would be a better fit. I also find keeping Bob and Tom a little curious, unless they couldn't get out of a contract. But then again, do you really want Rick and Bubba going head-to-head with the morning team at PAP? Seems to me R&B might eat into Shane and Tom's audience...

But what do I know? Very little if you ask my wife....

I tried clicking and they're all still cached from earlier, so whatever you saw, I didn't. Hope it was a gas.

Rick and Bubba have indeed listed 94.5 WFLF-FM as an afternoon affiliate. http://www.rickandbubba.com/index.asp?pg=listen.asp

I wonder how far Clear Channel is going to take WFLA? They're covering about half the state now. Who's next... Jacksonville, Pensacola, Miami, Fort Myers?

Not Miami. WIOD is a popular brand. Not to mention their lineup is similar to WFLA's already. Sheesh. Those other three though, especially Fort Myers, are possible candidates. Keep in mind though that the Tallahassee and Panama City clusters are up for sale anyway. This is probably Clear Channel's way of draining the station's revenue with minimal expense, since it's their last opportunity.

It says: "Dear livingfruitvirus" thanks for all the coverage on radioinfo. Love, 94.5 WFLA.

Was anyone listening to Rush today? Did he talk about being back on the air in PC? Just curious. Also talked with a friend earlier who informed me Rush has been off the air in PC for a number of months. What's the reaction to the switch? Do people care? It will be interesting to watch.
