95.3 FM The Rebel

> antenna haat?

It's also engineer speak for "height above average terrain." 'Course, round the airport, it would be the height above ground that would really matter.

Yep... I was just having a little engineering pun.

Another engineering pun...
Ohm's Law for Pirates:

E = aye arr

P = aye aye arr

Sorry.

Too bad it's a rim shot signal. I've been saying we should have another country format.

I used to be able to pick up that signal on my radio out East-ward where I am. Now I am hardly lucky if I get it at all.

But... there seems to be that same oldies format on 102.3. Anyone know where this one is coming from?

JP

Not to get into another topic... but I had never noticed that one before on the dial.

My stock Delco radio in my 98 Jimmy must be picking up REALLY good if i can pull one in from Colt (45), AR... ;D

All the talk about the Rebel is lost on the owners.
First Broadcasting would sell it in a heartbeat if a person came up with the right money.
They have done that very same thing with every station they owned.
Go to their website and see what they are all about.

I listened to the station for the first time over the weekend. {after reading this thread} I like it and get it clear as a bell down here on the Quitman, Tunica County line.. Are they gonna add some talking heads or just music all the time?.. I like a little interesting talk along with music , just curious.

> they are either up to something GOOD FOR MEMPHIS or they wouldn't be bothering with all the money, works, hassles, etc...

I don't know those folks, but, I will take it on faith that they are bright, hard working folks. But, it is an important life lesson that sometimes, being the smartest guy in the room is not always a guarantee that you're not dead wrong.

DE, 8)
....like your wisdom, and they are bright and have a proven background in the format. I was streaming and heard the owners named as Southern Star Broadcasting.... did a bit of homework and hmmmmmmmmmmm.
Hold on N.MS., PD's connected in the format (Nashville) and knows how to position, back in town from a top 10 market.... I guess its no secret he's doing afternoon drive.................
