95.3fm rebrand from Supra to KQ95........
They also just launched on WMGK-HD-3, it seems Greater Media has some sort of deal with the Spanish LP/translator stations, 97.1 is on WPEN-HD-3 and 95.3 is on WMGK-HD-3.
Who's plan?Heads of these intent of Latin stations are Quilvio Perdomo and Miguel Amador, don't know about his plans but somehow he's been able to get into two translators in Philly (97.1 and then 95.3) and another translator in Wilmington DE (W245CJ-FM 96.9) where he is now trying with "La 96.9" Facebook page for "Supra Radio" has been deleted.
Either this guy has the money to lease translators on a montly basis all over the place or has the connections to get to the translators, don't know what's up with the permanent moves though, but it doesn't look like a solid business plan.
Mr. Quilvio Perdomo*is the one who went to 95.3.......... Miguel basically stay with 97.1 just join el zol. Mr. Amador who bought the translator. He owns 3 phone stores!!!!Supra's wannabe broadcasters.
Been in Wilm, DE today. Translator barely covers the city and since it's probably linked to the studio via ip the audio feed keeps buffering for ever, at least the half hour I listened to it. IMHO pretty amateur.
I am wondering if WJBR's HD-3 is rebroadcasting W245CJ-FM 96.9, if so, that makes no sense because the HD-3 covers a larger area so why simulcast. I can receive the HD-3 here in center city Philly....
Yes, W245CJ 96.9 is being fed by WJBR HD3. I'm guessing here but I think 95.3 has nothing to do with "Supra" anymore as they deleted the Facebook page and all means of contact. 95.3 is streaming at www.supraradio.com (no contact page or social media there either) so I don't really know what's the thing there, the whole thing is pretty shady.
That 175 w (96.9) translator can be heard with an acceptable level at the Christiana Hospital area but not from downtown Wilmington (no contour map showed me that, I've been listening to it in my car the whole day), so unless they can move it near Wilm it's worthless.
Moving it is half the job, the other half is correcting the horrible audio buffering they have, feels like they are streaming from a public wifi.
97.1 is fed by WHAT-AM
Did you ever try 107.3, now that is the biggest joke, in mono, Cat country wipes them out 2 miles from their Xmtr.
Never listened to it but just checked in radio locator, don't know what's the point in installing a signal that barely covers half the city... It's like flashing a small torch in a well lit stadium. A total misuse of the spectrum.
95.3 is in the process of getting installed new equipment for the signal
They are but in cherry hill.Except for the modulation part unless they upgrade to 250w and install an omni directional antenna at the top of the tallest building in Philly it's throwing money away.
