95.3 W237eh is back on the air

They also just launched on WMGK-HD-3, it seems Greater Media has some sort of deal with the Spanish LP/translator stations, 97.1 is on WPEN-HD-3 and 95.3 is on WMGK-HD-3.

97.1 is now a translator for WHAT-AM (El Zol). Is that what's on 97.5 HD-3 as well?

When 97.1 was Supra, they were on 97.5 HD3. Now that they are on 95.3, they are on 102.9 HD3?

Just checked my HD radio, whats on 95.3 is on WMGK-HD-3 and whats on 97.1 is on WPEN-HD-3 as of tonight. There is also Spanish on WUSL-HD-2 and WJBR-HD-3 but different then 95.3(WMGK) and 97.1(WPEN).

Heads of these intent of Latin stations are Quilvio Perdomo and Miguel Amador, don't know about his plans but somehow he's been able to get into two translators in Philly (97.1 and then 95.3) and another translator in Wilmington DE (W245CJ-FM 96.9) where he is now trying with "La 96.9" Facebook page for "Supra Radio" has been deleted.

Either this guy has the money to lease translators on a montly basis all over the place or has the connections to get to the translators, don't know what's up with the permanent moves though, but it doesn't look like a solid business plan.

Who's plan?

Supra's wannabe broadcasters.

Been in Wilm, DE today. Translator barely covers the city and since it's probably linked to the studio via ip the audio feed keeps buffering for ever, at least the half hour I listened to it. IMHO pretty amateur.

I know they are at the top of the WJBR tower, at the very top you can see a few small bays, above the 6 heavy ones for 99.5. If you go down Naamans Road almost to 202 you can see that new tower they put up a few years back which is unpainted replacing the old painted one they used for years. I am wondering if WJBR's HD-3 is rebroadcasting W245CJ-FM 96.9, if so, that makes no sense because the HD-3 covers a larger area so why simulcast. I can receive the HD-3 here in center city Philly....

Mr. Quilvio Perdomo*is the one who went to 95.3.......... Miguel basically stay with 97.1 just join el zol. Mr. Amador who bought the translator. He owns 3 phone stores!!!!

Yes, W245CJ 96.9 is being fed by WJBR HD3. I'm guessing here but I think 95.3 has nothing to do with "Supra" anymore as they deleted the Facebook page and all means of contact. 95.3 is streaming at www.supraradio.com (no contact page or social media there either) so I don't really know what's the thing there, the whole thing is pretty shady.

That 175 w (96.9) translator can be heard with an acceptable level at the Christiana Hospital area but not from downtown Wilmington (no contour map showed me that, I've been listening to it in my car the whole day), so unless they can move it near Wilm it's worthless.

Moving it is half the job, the other half is correcting the horrible audio buffering they have, feels like they are streaming from a public wifi.

97.1 is fed by WHAT-AM

95.3 is now KQ 95. New website is KQ95FM.com
Quilvio Perdomo*is now program director for red wolf broadcasting Latina 100.3, bomba radio, bomba 104.5 & KQ95

So... Been in South, Central and North Philly today.

Have to say overall the most listenable is 105.7, a bit weak in the north but still listenable.

97.1 is quite crappy and you lose it as soon as you go near a big building or a bridge.

95.3 is almost non existent, plus it's modulation is a joke.

Again, IMHO a translator in a big city is useless unless located in the top of the tallest building which in that case may be listenable.

In the case of the ones mentioned above, the belief that because you can receive them with a quite decent signal in the areas where most latinos live, the moment they get into the car and go to work, to the airport to pick up a primo, or to the Walmart across town the signal of such translator will disappear instantly and they'll change to an USB loaded with Daddy Yankee's latest hits, or in the least cases to the good ol' AM.

Did you ever try 107.3, now that is the biggest joke, in mono, Cat country wipes them out 2 miles from their Xmtr.

Never listened to it but just checked in radio locator, don't know what's the point in installing a signal that barely covers half the city... It's like flashing a small torch in a well lit stadium. A total misuse of the spectrum.

Believe me, radio locator is a bit generous with the coverage map. There are a few times a week they run some good programs with old standards and country classics but they are impossible to receive in any type building, in the car they can be received but if you start driving they are in and out. There are some signals with 20w that get out much further, I don't know what their problem is, I am a few miles from them and they are unlistenable, they have been around a long time, but like you stated whats the use.

95.3 W237eh is off the air for good.

The translator which been fed wmgk hd3. The signal is off the air as Mr. Perdomo decided to end the project and wmgk hd3 will be off air soon. It was a good run
