Third times the charm for country music on the 95.7 frequency in Lafayette. First as Big Dog when the station moved from Attica in 1994, then briefly in the mid-2000s when The Wolf flip-flopped frequencies, and now as a mainstream country station off the bird without a name. I have to give them credit for at least utilizing some of Westwood One Local's custom jock breaks, though. It doesn't sound bad, but it's a no brainer that this station is simply being used to bring K105's monster numbers down. I have to wonder--in a market with so many signals and so many format holes, wouldn't it have been more advantageous to try something different?
