Good find! I'm perplexed with this move by Clear Channel San Diego. I also wonder why the company will have 2 stations playing the same exact genre? Even if there was a slightly different lean (pop vs rhythmic), the genres are still too close.lovejamminoldies said:http://www.iheart.com/live/261/?autoplay=true
San Diego's Hit Music Station in the Top 40/Pop genre. However, the playlist on demand on their site reflects the Rhythmic genre. Why would they have 2 CHR's in the same market with Channel 933 being a powerhouse? One of them will be Rhythmic and I'm going to guess it's going to be KISS.
Yeah, this may be spot on.lovejamminoldies said:Good point, I'm thinking Rhythmic Oldies.

Thanks Clear Channel ???, you gave San Diego its FIFTH Top40/CHR-esque station (XHTZ Jammin' Z90, KHTS Channel 933, KSIQ Q96, KEGY Energy 103.7 & now 95.7 KISS FM)
This statement was made before the station flip. I was fooled to think that the KISS title would replicate a Top40 station like many other "KISS"-named stations around the nation. After a few tracks, it's gotten clear that the station is considered to be a Rhythmic AC. ... And the quote above was referring to San Diego having what potentially could've been five CHRs, not Clear Channel operating all the named stations.Signal Geek said:lovejamminoldies said:http://www.iheart.com/live/261/?autoplay=true

Clear Channel doesn't operate Jammin Z90, Q-96 or Energy 103.7. And KISS doesn't sound anything like Channel 933
