This should solve the WIOP/WSPO issue...

http://www.96wave.com/

but it you look at the bottom of the page near the copyright info, it says 95.9 Sports FM, kinda makes me think 95.9 was the original idea for sports, obviously.

So they're using 1390 and the 99.3 translator in Hollywood for sports? No wonder they were directing the 1390 listeners to 95.

The FCC database now has WSPO at 1390 and WIOP at 95.9.

One more thing I just noticed is if you go to the personalities page on WSPO, it shows 96Wave.com music playing on weekends? Really?

WXTC switched just today, or maybe yesterday.

They're playing gospel music right now, before they start the sports format.

That would be a good choice, but Charleston already has two sports stations (910 and 1450), and many of the play-by-play choices are already taken. What would Apex get? Clemson football? UNC basketball? SC State? The Splash? ;D

WXTC switched today, they've been simulcasting the Steve Harvey Show from STAR the past couple mornings and it was on 1390 this morning. So I guess the listeners of Classic Soul is gonna move over 1340 and or 95.9 (They were only classic soul for 6 months-kind of a tease to those who like classic soul.)

95.9 has added a few personalities, as I heard Dave Ryan (who used to be on B92) doing a midday shift between 10-3.

I don't know if they have added any others, but they have Tom Kent seven days a week.

This is from a press release by the company that does Kent's syndication. Adding all seven days of Tom Kent Radio Network Programming is Apex Broadcasting's
Classic Hits WIOP 95.9 FM Charleston, South Carolina for "Tom Kent" Monday through Friday 7p
to 12a, "The Ultimate Party" on Saturday from 7p to 12a and "My 70s Show" from 7p to 12a on
Sundays.

I heard the weekend guy (I think it was Friday) on B92 during Dave Ryan's time slot. If Dave has moved to 95.9 it may be a couple days for the website to get updated.
