Those 4 watts sure go far!!I was hearing something similar on 96.1 in the Fairfield Outlet Mall area yesterday (290 @ Grand Parkway) but didn’t listen long enough to figure out who it was.
Of course, Fútbol de Primera is a network show with the (to me) ever-annoying Andrés Cantor, and it sounds like they did not insert the local ID.I heard them airing ads including Verizon a couple of times and their TOTH said FÚTBOL DE PRIMERA but didn’t mention any call signs.
Here's a quick mp3 for proof. I recorded it on my phone and it's quite windy outside so sorry.it sounds like they did not insert the local ID.
We must have been listening at the same time. I did a scan last night and caught 96.1 in the heights. They were broadcasting a soccer match between Costa Rica and Honduras. The Verizon announcement I heard sounded like it was part of the national soccer broadcast and not something plugged in locally. Those 4 watts sure go far!!

I agree, I for a fact enjoy hearing him narrate the soccer games more than anyone in Univision. Well El Perro Bermúdez (don’t know his real name) was pretty good too. Haven’t heard him in a while. He's a legend and you know it!
(But I do concede that his "GOOOOOOOOOOL"s have gotten more and more out of tune with age).
Checked this morningI didn’t check last night. I heard it when I posted it
