97.1 The Tower Website

I listened yesterday, as I was in and out of Nash-Vegas for the 20 th Anniversary Banquet for the Way-FM Media Group (Were those pictures of me on the video dating and embarrassing!).... I listened and found that it's the same ol', same ol'.... Scratch My Head?????? Still thought "The Jack" was brighter in air-sound and keeping me tuned in one door down on the left of the dial at 96.3... Just my thoughts.. ::)

Roadrunner, I'm on your team. I don't actually 'hate' the station, I just hate the fact that the spineless
mid managers in their corporate cubicles are to scared to stand up and prove they could give their
superior tools a lot more success and revenue. THERE IS NO EXCUSE for settling for the ratings any
Crumulus station is getting here. And, punishing the people that were the air talent and had to read
boring liners and play the same 36 songs is unacceptable. 'YOU play these songs and say THIS on
the air and you will be FIRED." Wrong to everybody involved. Including the Dickey
brother who have received 75% of the wealth they could have had, like it or not, if they'd seen
that maximizing formats, not cutting corners could have made them even bigger. I admit, $500 million
lost here and there means nothing to them anymore. But still.

I agree. The boring liners and the same 30-some songs over and over...Why can't they wait 2 or 3 days before playing certain songs or just pull one out of the hat every now and then. Like yesterday, Jack FM played
"Oh Well" by Fleetwood Mac. Never heard them play that before. It's as if 97.1 is settling to be second or third
best, not taking any chances, and promoting the heck out of Bob and Tom. I'd rather work (if I were in radio) at
some independent 500 watt station than working for Clueless-screw-loose or Cheap Channel.
