This would definitely be an improvement on what they're playing right now

I can see them going harder, deeper, and newer (which would explain the RHCP), but the pop?
If River wants to go classic pop hits they need to jump in with both feet. The folks at Cumulus would then breathe a sigh of relief as then they would know what to do with Rock100.5.
Methinks the next shoe in the market to drop will be CBS and Dave, unless Cox wants to take River in a different direction. I would have thought that Cox would have won that staring contest with 100.5.

Bet they are just gonna waver and add a few pop tunes here and there and see if it holds or see who else maybe go true classic hits with a pop lean... CC1
Could Chuck on 103.7 be a test for a possible move to 97.1? Apparently a lot of 97.1 listeners also listen(ed) to Journey and AGH, and the number one complaint about River is the tiny playlist.CrazeeCarroll1 said:I am streaming them from here in IL and I heard a liner saying classic hits from the 70's, 80's, and 90's so maybe they are slowly gonna morph into another "Chuck" type station, but with it being so close to the Chuck in Gainsville I would not think that would be the case.
