That's exactly what I came back to this thread to suggest after reading it earlier.jabba17 said:Could Chuck on 103.7 be a test for a possible move to 97.1? Apparently a lot of 97.1 listeners also listen(ed) to Journey and AGH, and the number one complaint about River is the tiny playlist.CrazeeCarroll1 said:I am streaming them from here in IL and I heard a liner saying classic hits from the 70's, 80's, and 90's so maybe they are slowly gonna morph into another "Chuck" type station, but with it being so close to the Chuck in Gainsville I would not think that would be the case. Bet they are just gonna waver and add a few pop tunes here and there and see if it holds or see who else maybe go true classic hits with a pop lean... CC1
When I listen to Chuck FM here in Greenville, I almost feel like I'm listening to a classic hits station due to the emphasis on 70s/80s. They have a variety though, like disco, rock, new wave, pop, etc.
The only REAL classic hits station that Cox owns is KONO in San Antonio.
