but the top-hour ID is just a straight female voice for now:
"This is ninety-seven three - K-I-R-O FM - Tacoma Seattle"
(..guess Charlie Brown predicted this to happen during the '95 KJR-FM Reunion...)

Just wait for the ugly sloppy IDs... "This is K-I-R-O FM Tacoma, K-I-R-O Seattle" Of course it's really hard to remember to say it that way. "Cairo" just rolls off the tongue easier. You should hear sister station KSL's IDs "This is KSL-FM Midvale, KSL Salt Lake City" (when it's right...)Bongwater said:It just seems weird to hear "K-I-R-O FM, TACOMA/Seattle".....

..and as to how long AUTOMATION can continue without any dead-air glitches...
They're still running 'some' of the 97.3 jingles with the 'KBSG' calls IN them....bizarre

Nothing. It's off right now.

Hopefully the voiceover guy sounds pretty good when he does it. I always forget that KIRO uses a voiceover to ID around the news, rather than a host.
