97.5 has got to go and ysp will never go

CBS couldn't care less about static...or for that matter what is or isn't on 97.5, and they aren't going to make a business decision to move WIP to FM just to "counter attack" when it's time for play by play contracts to come up for bids. (They're also not CBS's to sell in the first place...who comes up with this stuff) ::)

If they choose to bid, as one would expect, they'll bid what makes sense for them. If GM is willing to throw a pile of cash that's too steep for CBS's business needs, so be it.

you think cbs is going to sell those sports contracts to a static filled 97.5 ?

What does CBS have to do with anything? Of course CBS is not selling the sports contracts to its competitor.

The entities selling the sports contracts are the teams.

With 97.5 pulling a 1.3, and WYSP beating it, I don't think there's any chance that happens.

I think CBS should flip 1210 and 610, leave the Phillies on the sports format now on 1210, and then upgrade the 1210 signal to its full potential.

What?? Philly not a 'heavy urban' town?!? How many Urban type formats were there before Radio One made Y100 the 7th or 8th Urban station? Ummmm 6 or 7? No I guess Philly isn't an urban market.
