Do anyone know what's going on over there? I see no local personalities on their website except for the 7pm-12am shift. I'm assuming they're jockless after the morning show until 7pm.
I did find out out 97.9 fired their midday person on April 1st.That's what a lot of stations are doing these days to cut costs, since less people listen to the radio. 98.5 The Beat in San Antonio I think has 1 local DJ, maybe none now.
To say things are "coming back" seems a bit premature. I don't think radio will completely come back to business as usual. People spent a good chunk of 2020 at home discovering the capabilities of their connected devices. I think the long term effects of this will have devastating consequences for traditional media outlets (both TV and Radio).Things are coming back but we still have a long way to go.
