Today’s FM DX was KVOO-FM from Tulsa, OK, blasting country music in at I-385 exit 34-35 (between Mauldin and Greenville), obliterating the signal from Summit’s X-98.5, despite it being ~10 miles away. I first caught this station on I-385 in Fountain Inn, but it came and went. Past MM 35, I think the W253BG signal actually became strong enough to fend off interference because it was largely clear past the 85/385 exit. It did take another mile or so for the X-98.5 RDS to kick back in, so there were still some issues going on.
This is one of the farthest stations I’ve gotten in the car; and the farthest I’ve gotten that locked in to HD and completely blew out a nearby signal (this is normally a strong area for the W253BG signal with no issue).
Video (X-98.5 is obviously the one playing AJR’s “Bang!”):
