I heard the end of a station identification. It had the "Oldies 93" station ID, and the guy who says "We Play Everything" said the station mixed many different styles. So maybe they did an old "98.7 The Point" ID as the first part.
Sounds like a corrupt computer file. That's the problem with digital automation (I believe they still use Scott Studios). That system has a tendency from time to time to do things like that.

I heard that! It said something about missing oldies, but I couldn't believe they were using the old 93.1 jingle!! At first it did sound like a mistake, the way the jungle cut off... until the guy said the thing about oldies on 98.7.
Hmmmm. A computer glitch with a jingle about oldies going into a song that IS an oldie??? That's the glitch o' the century! Why can't my computer have glitches this smart?? :
What people? I haven't heard a soul talking about "Oldies 93"..Wasn't too many people talking about them when they were "Oldies" 94.1 is doing just fine..with a little tweaking of music! APE!
Audiovault? I would lean toward the Middle Earth people and their ability to alter time, space and dimension and insert Oldies 93 references into Simon's usual programming. Of course, we all know that it was the Middle Earth people who started Audiovault, and this was predicted by the sages years ago. ;D
