By the way, I'm still waiting for you to prove the two statements you made about me, and I did ask you nicely. I'm especially interested in knowing which translators I'm shuffling around.

As you can see if you scroll down this thread, I deleted that statement because I'm not 100 percent sure of who you are. I sent you a Private Message, which you have chosen to ignore. There's a pic attached. Recognize?

I'm not accusing you of anything. The post was deleted. The pic depicts neither Bob nor Don... Have a good day...

Well, whoever it is, he looks like a shifty individual, with the shades and all. I'll bet he also has a criminal record, and some connection to broadcasting. I certainly wouldn't buy a used car from him. Or a new car, for that matter.

I'm glad you're no longer accusing me of things you can't prove. That's never a good idea, especially when you're trying to win friends and influence people. It also tends to erode your reputation.

Have a nice day, Joseph.

So, when you say, "As for me being an 'informer,' if that's what people want to call me, its fine. Others have referred to me as the self-appointed Houston radio police. When I see someone in the radio industry doing wrong, I am quick to let Mr. Lee know and. if its above his pay grade, take it to the good folks in Washington," that's all just a bunch of bloviating by a prospective broadcaster who feels he's been somehow taken advantage of.

If you want to be the "self-appointed Houston radio police," fine and dandy. As I stated before, I'm sure Mr. Lee, his staff, and his counterparts in Washington are absolutely thrilled to have your constant and repeated assistance in maintaining broadcast integrity in the Houston market. However, I provided you with plenty of ammunition for this very purpose, and your response was, "Had the Hispanics messed me over, I'd pursue them as relentlessly as I have others. But they didn't, so I don't care what they do. I don't want no trouble." So, I guess you have no intention of "relentlessly pursuing" those who have done wrong, and are misusing the system for their own financial gain. In fact, the only ones you appear to be pursuing are legal broadcasters who are operating within the rules. In fact, that's what this thread was all about in the beginning. But as I said before, it has the appearance of sour grapes.

By the way, I'm still waiting for you to prove the two statements you made about me, and I did ask you nicely. I'm especially interested in knowing which translators I'm shuffling around.

Steve is the only Home Agent in Houston...he reports to the Dallas office.....and nothing is above Steve's paygrade when it comes to enforcement....he has the power to use Federal Marshalls and SIEZE equipment (especially that being used illegally by a church on a channel they have NO WRITTEN authority and then try to change the mailing address so they "Look" like the legit licensee....when they are NOT.....

Steve has to be nice in his position as a public figure......BUT I dont.....and I doubt certain people out there have an EE degree like Steve does (Or studied for one and was one year ahead of Steve from high school to college!!! I WAS WAY ahead of Steve in math; taking Diff EQ in my SOPHOMORE year of college...that is a SENIOR math class ;) BUT radio DJing was more fun.....maybe one day....but Steve doesnt use his degree that much on the job...its decades of experience and dealing with garbage out there......and then calling a friend of his and asking about 431MHz and when queried, said "WELL tell your ham friends if anything show up there this weekend, just ignore it and it will likely be gone by Monday; thats all I can say"....and before Friday, GWB flies into IAH for the weekend......UH HUH............The FCC called ME for freq check (well the ham are secondary)....

Then I got to correct Riley Hollinsworth in a NAL.......(I have the email stored......so I HAVE the proof)....Riley was a little off and I emailed him about it..he retracted the NAL.....and then at Dayton next month walked over to me and was chuckling.....saying "Thanks for the help!" EEEHHHH what are friends for?? :)

NOW I COULD claim I have started the largest investigation into radio corruption in the state of Texas......but I havent...and NOONE else has...The FCC has not issued any statement on such....(unless someone is holding them over a hot FIRE!!!).....and I see NO proof whatsoever it has taken place.....

As a LONG TERM member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and know many high ranking officials in it and the EAS National committee (Had a nice chat with old friend Clay Freinwald, who is on said group, a few nights back because a local TV engineer and I were discussing some EAS Issues and I mentioned Clay on the board was an old friend....YEP you KNOW what happened...soooooo off to Clay the email went and back the reply came which settled most of the questions...one Clay could NOT answer, he said should be referred to a DC Attorney....OK..........not a problem.

BUT thats a normal day for me....I dont go around beating my chest and make such claims that NOONE can see to find...and I KEEP EVERY Email......have since 1996......YEP have the originals out of Netscape on a 250MB drive......I like to keep my a$$ covered with paperwork and PROOF....

Too bad someone else thinks they know more than those of us in the biz for DECADES.......but then we were working...we were not behind bars reading manuals to become a lawyer want to be.......

Osteen preaches "prosperity" gospel.......which a lot of mainstream religious folks are totally against. Popoff and others are like that as well....send them $1000 and expect 10x back...where is the salvation in that?? and the reality? It doesnt happen.....sending money to a "minister" is no guarantee of being saved....but folks do it thinking it will....playing off human weaknesses.

The Bible warns of false prophets "standing on street corners" and wearing clothes of fine clothes and silks....I put most TV preachers in $1000 suits to be in that class....They dont care about saving souls.......or helping people..they only care about one thing...LOOKS and $$$$$

Dated a girl who went to Lakewood (twice!)....Because of this being an open/family type forum, I won't post what she did one night just before going to Lakewood....but it just confirmed what I thought of most, if not all, the people who go there...Organized religion is a man made thing and is only in it for the $$$ and material things....

IF God wanted a ministry to help those who needed it the most, things donated to the ministry would be scrapped, sold, etc and the money used to help those in need as Jesus said to....

and thats my final $0.02 on this

I agree with this 100%... 11046769_600060146697125_1118249824531115995_n.jpg

Now, back to the original topic of this thread. As I returned home from Louisiana on Saturday, I traveled via Beltway 8. I picked up KHGV about a half of mile before I-45. The signal quality improved as I continued west. Just before the Cullen exit the signal started to break-up. I heard Brook Benton and Dinah Washington "A Rockin' Good Way," before the signal degraded.
