When the Fish was on 104.7 Atlanta CCM folks heard a station without "beg a thons". Commercials yes but they paid for the music. You weren't shamed into donating. "We are looking for 20 people to pledge $30 a month for a CHANCE (lottery?) for a $500.00 Visa to KEEP KLove broadcasting. The Fish did occasionally raise funds for LOCAL causes, but it was local.
Also the Fish IMHO played better CCM, had a better local stuff like traffic, and better on air talent starting with Kevin and Taylor. This is one case where local was better than national programming.
It's heritage. Air 1 had a tremendous head start in Atlanta.
