So, 11 hours of the day will be betting-oriented and the rest sports that doesn’t duplicate what’s on KFOG and KTCT.

With the exception of midnight to 3 am, the new KGO schedule is the same as WEEI's. So what's the challenge? What's to get off the ground?
To prove that sports betting does exist since its becoming more and more popular. Hell, TVG and TVG2 had now rebranded to include the FanDume name across its channels.
Any BET how long before they realize they aren’t playing any legal IDs?
KGO had to stop the bleeding. They were never going to turn the corner with live & local talk. So this was an option.
Selling the station would be another option.
Want to make them an offer? They'll make more with this format than by selling.
People think there are lots of buyers for AM stations, and there really aren't. Cumulus has already shopped a lot of these stations around as part of their bankruptcy a few years ago.
