A Crummey week for Mac 'n' Cheese

I guess it's back to KUPD in the afternoons for me. I just can't stomach the infamous girlfriend stories and the stuttering and stammering.

Jay, see what you can do to convince Russ to give PMD to Crummey and move Mac to nights.

Yes, I agree Mac's stuttering sounds very unprofessional.

I'd love to see KTAR do something different with the evening show. Gaydo's schtick is old & tired. His on-air egofest & inability to move on from a topic (beating a dead horse) is a waste of air time.

I'd rather see Sharpe, Crummey, Hill, ...heck even Tim & Willie! (whatever happened to thse 2?)

Send Gaydos to Bismark ND or somewhere where is college radio performance may work.

Russ usually calls me twice a day to ask my opinion and for my take on programming decisions.
I'll be glad to pass along your radio info address.

hahahahahahahahahah

be well

Tell Russ that he promised to keep his blog up and running.

Been 8 months since his last post.

Walk the talk and all that.

Oh please.

Crummey is useless. More reactionary-right-wing bootlicking. More "insult the other side because I have nothing of value with which to counter."

Once again, boys and girls: that crap belongs on KFYI. Leave KTAR alone, and let those of us who enjoy that lineup do so.

rkchgo,

Thanks again for making your feelings known about Mac Watson and the line up on KTAR. If you prefer left-wing progressive hosts and talk, you might want to dial down to KPHX. Fascinating and highly rated, I am told. I have tried to listen, but only get static.

Anyhow, I couldn't care a lick about Crummey's politics, he is entertaining, lively and can deliver any number of sentences without stuttering and/or dropping references to his infamous girlfriend. Ergo, his show is entertaining and fun.

With Mac Watson, he tries to show how erudite of a talk show host he is by using $0.50 words that most listeners don't know the definition to. With Crummey, I feel like I'm sitting at a bar, shooting the breeze and enjoying a beer with a friend (even though I don't drink). Mac's delivery sounds contrived.

Mac Watson is and will always be, in my book, a second-rate hack to the likes of Joe Crummey.

Disagree if you must, but I am entitled to my opinion.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong it may be. <grin>

The point is, if you like his politics, then listen to KFYI. I enjoy both Mac and Gaydos, and the fact that there are a group of people here who think bigotry and hatred is entertaining doesn't mean they get to plug their own choices into whatever radio station they like.

For the record, both Mac and Gaydos fall more on the conservative side. I don't. I don't listen to KPHX because I don't listen to the radio to hear people railing about their opinions; I listen to be entertained. Mac and Gaydos are both entertaining, to me. Simple as that.

They're both awful hacks, who just mouth neoconservative talking points, with the difference being that Crummey is gifted with a great radio voice while Watson is shrilly annoying. Both are the angry white guy equivalent of the View or any other shallow talk program, where they can feign outrage over some blown out of proportion tidbit, instead of addressing anything remotely connected to their corporate masters.

And, just for "fairness" sake here, the same applies to 90% of hosts on the "liberal" talk station too…
